Roots and Recipes: Videoconference Plans

1) Have you ever visited Hawaii before? What things do you know about Hawaii? What do you want to know about Hawaii? What are the different sights that you are interested in? Do you know any history about Hawaii? Ever surfed? What is it like in Maine? What do you guys eat there? Ever heard of King Kamehameha? Have you ever eaten spam musubi or heard of malasada? Wanna know what Halo Halo is? What about poi? Ever gone to the beach? Canoe paddling? Eaten coconut? Mango? Do you know Pele?

2) Dance hula, Play the ukulele for them, Sing a famous Hawaiian song, Play Konane and Ulumaika, Lei making (arts and crafts)
Instead of focusing so much on Hawaiian themed activities, we can also introduce the other cultures that exist in Hawaii, such as Filipinos, Japanese, Korean, Micronesian, Samoan, Laotian, and many more.

3) Courses. From main dishes, to appetizers, and then desserts.
We should also share the many things that we do in Hawaii. As well as our daily lifestyles and our hobbies. Share them the famous sight seeings in Hawaii. Share them the traditional clothing style of Hawaii. Oh and the different cultures that exist in Hawaii. Oh and the different cultures that exist in Hawaii. Share the stories that get passed on from hula dancing.
