Journal #31: Metaphor Project Poem Plans

Songs

1) Wedding Dress by Taeyang

Some say it’s not over ‘till it’s over

Guess this is really over now

There’s something I gotta say before I let you go

Listen

When you have a fight with him

Sometimes you cry

And feel sad and blue

I become hopeful

My heart aches secretly

Then just a hint of your smile

Can make feel fine again

To keep you from figuring out how I feel about you

Coz then we would drift apart

I hold my breath, bite my lips

Oh, please leave him and come to me

Baby, please don’t take his hand

Coz you should be my lady

I’ve been waiting for you for so long

Please look at me now

When the music starts

You will vow to spend

The rest of your life with him

How I prayed every night

This day would never come

The wedding dress you’re wearing

It’s not me (next to you)

Oh, the wedding dress you’re wearing, oh, no

You never knew how I felt about you

And I hated you so

Sometimes I wished you would be unhappy

Now I have no more tears left to cry

When I’m by myself I talk to you like you’re here

I’ve felt so restless every night

Maybe I’ve known all along this would happen

I close my eyes and dream an endless dream

Please leave him and come to me

Baby, don’t take his hand when he comes to you

Coz you should be my lady

I’ve been waiting for you for so long

Look at me now

When the music starts

You will vow to spend

The rest of your life with him

How I prayed every night

This day would never come

The wedding dress you’re wearing

It’s not me (next to you)

Oh, the wedding dress you’re wearing, oh, no

Please be happy with him

So that I can forget you

Please forget how miserable I looked

It’s going to be unbearably hard for me

For a long while to come

2) Haru Haru by Big Bang

Leave
Yeah, Finally I realize that I am nothing without you
I was so wrong, forgive me

Ah ah ah ah~

My broken heart like a wave
My shaken heart like a wind My heart vanished like smoke
It can’t be removed like a tattoo
I sigh deeply as if a ground is going to cave in
Only dusts are piled up in my mind
(say goodbye)

Yeah, I thought I wouldn’t be able to live even one day without you
But somehow I managed to live on (longer) than I thought
You don’t answer anything as I cry out “I miss you”
I hope for a vain expectation but now it’s useless

What is it about that person next to you, did he make you cry?
Dear can you even see me, did you forget completely?
I am worried, I feel anxiety because I can’t get close nor try to talk to you
I spend long nights by myself, erasing my thoughts a thousand times

Don’t look back and leave

Don’t find me again and live (on)

Because I have no regrets from loving you, take only the good memories

I can bear it in some way

I can stand in some way

You should be happy if you are like this

I become dull day by day (eh eh eh eh)

Oh girl I cry, cry

You’re my all, say goodbye…

If we pass by each other on the street

Act like you didn’t see me and go the way you were walking to

If you keep thinking about our past memories

I might go look for you secretly

Always be happy with him, (so) I won’t ever get a different mind

Even smallest regret won’t be left out ever

Please live well as if I should feel jealous

You should always be like that bright sky, like that white cloud

Yes, you should always smile like that as if nothing happened

Don’t look back and leave

Don’t find me again and live (on)

Because I have no regrets from loving you, take only the good memories

I can bear it in some way

I can stand in some way

You should be happy if you are like this

I become dull day by day (eh eh eh eh)

I hope your heart fees relieved

Please forget about me and live (on)

Those tears will dry completely

As time passes by

It would’ve hurt less if we didn’t meet at all (mm)

Hope you will bury our promise of being together forever baby

I pray for you

Don’t look back and leave

Don’t find me again and live (on)

Because I have no regrets from loving you, take only the good memories

I can bear it in some way

I can stand in some way

You should be happy if you are like this

I become dull day by day (eh eh eh eh)

Oh girl I cry, cry

You’re my all, say goodbye, bye

Oh my love don’t lie, lie

You’re my heart, say goodbye

Poems done by professionals:

1) I, Too, Sing America by Langston Hughes

I, too, sing America.

I am the darker brother.

They send me to eat in the kitchen

When company comes,

But I laugh,

And eat well,

And grow strong.

Tomorrow,

I'll be at the table

When company comes.

Nobody'll dare

Say to me,

"Eat in the kitchen,"

Then.

Besides,

They'll see how beautiful I am

And be ashamed--

I, too, am America.

2) I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings by Maya Angelou

The free bird leaps

on the back of the win

and floats downstream

till the current ends

and dips his wings

in the orange sun rays

and dares to claim the sky.

But a bird that stalks

down his narrow cage

can seldom see through

his bars of rage

his wings are clipped and

his feet are tied

so he opens his throat to sing.

The caged bird sings

with fearful trill

of the things unknown

but longed for still

and is tune is heard

on the distant hillfor the caged bird

sings of freedom

The free bird thinks of another breeze

an the trade winds soft through the sighing trees

and the fat worms waiting on a dawn-bright lawn

and he names the sky his own.

But a caged bird stands on the grave of dreams

his shadow shouts on a nightmare scream

his wings are clipped and his feet are tied

so he opens his throat to sing

The caged bird sings

with a fearful trill

of things unknown

but longed for still

and his tune is heard

on the distant hill

for the caged bird

sings of freedom.

3) The Road Not Taken by Robert Frost

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,

And sorry I could not travel both

And be one traveler, long I stood

And looked down one as far as I could

To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,

And having perhaps the better claim

Because it was grassy and wanted wear,

Though as for that the passing there

Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay

In leaves no step had trodden black.

Oh, I marked the first for another day!

Yet knowing how way leads on to way

I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh

Somewhere ages and ages hence:

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I,

I took the one less traveled by,

And that has made all the difference.

4) The Person Behind the Screen (My Poem)

Many grow dependent on me,

for the help they seek.

Constantly searching,

‘till satisfaction is met.

Enjoying my presence.

Without the use of

paper and pencil.

Saving,

as they are working.

Placed into my storage device,

entrusted me,

to keep it safe.

I do well on my own.

Dedicating myself,

to what I do.

Checking each detail,

for accuracy.

Continuously,

processing my work,

‘till the job is done.

Multitasking every so often,

performing tasks in the background,

with another,

in the foreground.

However,

if I overload,

I malfunction,

behaving,

as though a bug has entered my system.

Some grow frustrated of me,

if I don’t function properly.

Abused,

and then abandoned.

But, after awhile,

the need of having me,

is realized.

Sometimes,

I feel as though,

others take advantage of me.

To use me for their own benefit.

However,

others feel that having me around,

is a good thing.

Without me,

life is hard and empty.

I make it easier - to live.

My name,

remembered forever,

a computer.
